Run, don’t walk to Old Navy where by accident last week, I found they now carry ballet flats. I was in there looking for boy things and these caught my eye. Not only cute, but comfy. Being completely honest, these are more comfy than my expensive J Crew ones. They also come in darling patent orange, tweeds and silver and gold and black. $19.00! I plan on going back for a few other pairs. I hate cheap shoes and these are not anything like cheap shoes. Serious. This is a shoe you want to pack. They are virtually weightless and I’ve already spent many long comfy days with them on my feet.
I bought my self a bag with my birthday money. Something I do every year. This time I really had my eye on all the new Coach legacy leather bags with tassels. Have I mentioned before I have a thing for tassels? Anyhow, after much to decide from, I settled on this larger beige pebbled tote with black trim. I haven’t ever had a bag in this color and I’m loving the large size and the adjustable shoulder strap that comes with it too. It can be a tote or a cross-body, which is nice depending on what I’m up to. For trips and weekends, it’s the perfect bag! I’m loving Coach’s new look. Lots of beautiful style without the logos.
I also brought along a bit of reading materials for the down-time. This special edition guide is filled with many great ideas to get your wardrobe Fall ready. I especially loved the vintage photos they incorporated in each section. A terrific style guide for now.
And for the mom readers out there, who need a lift or some inspiration to up your game, this book is it! By a US Magazine editor, It’s a well-written guide filled with photos of celeb moms and their style evolutions. Fun! I plan on finishing it this weekend. I loved this book.
I’m still working on my, What Really Matters, post and also a piece about getting away to Monterey coming up.
Enjoy your weekend and the extra hour of sleep! I Hope you get some me-time before we’re on to the next holiday!
