It really feels like summer to me when we get to July Fourth weekend. I love having extra days off, watching Wimbledon, and eating cold watermelon and placing little American flags all about. In a couple weeks all the fall pre-sales will begin, but I feel like I’m just getting my summer capsule wardrobe together. I’ve tried my best to shop my own closet and use what I already have in new ways. I am using my my 6 new purchases in different combos with things from several summers past and it’s nice. I am also realizing what things just are done and I have little bag to drop them in to donate.
One thing I’ve noticed is adding a new accessory really makes everything look current and new. I’m wearing the same tops, white jeans and khakis I have for many several summers, but modern shoes and bags give it a fresh look! That’s all you need sometimes. After my trip to NYC (more from my trip on the next post), I got a few new brands on my radar and I like the new look some of these pieces have. Just one can give your whole wardrobe a little lift.
