Trina Turk

Trina Turk’s Fall Collection & Our Event Saturday !

September 8, 2017 By kimwheeler 4 Comments

I am so fortunate to be doing a shopping day with Trina Turk this weekend. My friend April of Ms B in the Bay Area and I spent a few hours up at the Burlingame store yesterday and got to preview the fall looks and I have to honestly say it is her prettiest fall collection ever.

I’m especially in love with the beautiful deep florals and pretty shapes of the dresses and tops.

This pink shirtdress might be my very favorite with its easy feel, pockets and zipper front. It has luxe cuffs with the nicest gold button detail too. I could wear casual or dressed up with heels like these Sunset Blvd pumps- also part of her fall collection.

Trina’s handbags are super cool this season…

This mauve color is very hot and I like the tassel it comes with.

This tote and clutches are all great fall pieces! I’m contemplating this leopard Raquel Clutch which is a perfect size for daytime as well as nights.

Loving the boots and how cute is this box bag?

These luxe boots also grabbed my eye as they are different by Pour La Victoire and the box bag is also a way cute for a special event with a fall dress.

More pretty boots and standout bags! Kind of in love with this bucket bag and these Frye boots (marked down) in this color!!

This Merge clutch is also modern and fun.

April and I had fun trying on some of our favorite looks. It’s nice to see how things fit and some items look so different on. We wanted to be prepared to help anyone who comes to see us Saturday.

This lace Dreamland dress was one of the very best, so flattering with the bell sleeve and lace neckline. Wouldn’t it be the perfect dress for Thanksgiving or a special fall dinner with these deep colors?

An elegant dress with gold details and the most sublime green.

How cool is the Jones patented tweed coat? Even cuter on. And yes it is water-repellant, so you can just wipe it dry. Lightweight too and doesn’t wrinkle so it may be the perfect travel piece in fall.

I have to say right here that items like this coat are what makes her collections so neat. One of a kind pieces that become even cooler as you keep them over the years are what I love about shopping at Trina and looking back on all her different collections, I wish I had bought a few more of them as they get better with time!

  Always love the Trina jewelry.

 A cute ladybug sweater.

This leopard vest, tweed jacket and sporty flowered bomber were just a few of the jackets.

This dress is a great pick for upcoming parties. April in the black version below…

The Panache dress is another fun cocktail dress.
Also this Splendid dress!
April looking graceful in the navy version of the Panache dress.
For daytime and more casual wear this Jaxson dress was adorable on April.

The Keleigh is another shirtdress with cute contrasting cuffs and belt.

The Opulent jacket in a tattersall check has a very cute back detail …

This jacket is beautifully made with a deep red lining with navy polka dots and the darling buttons. I’m kind of a jacket junkie. I think nothing looks more polished than a little jacket. The picture doesn’t do it justice and the special details in her clothes them even cooler.

So many beautiful items. I’m just showing a fraction.

April loved this chambray dress, a fall version of the blue one she owns. This has a grayish wash on it and we agreed this is the perfect throw on dress that felt great.

Below is the black version of the zip up shirtdress I wore in pink at the top of the post.

Simple and yet so chic! Hard to decide what I like more black or the pink Darya dress, but it is something everyone would love to have in the closet.

More snazzy accessories…

Lots to love at the beautiful Trina Turk Burlingame store. I didn’t even show swim, coverups, sunglasses and so much more.

Downtown Burlingame is a cute spot and a great chance to enjoy a day out with a friend and have lunch.

The team who work at this Trina store are very cool ladies and know what looks great. If you can’t make my event, visit them sometime. The store itself is a modern gem- beautifully designed and always a joy to see what they have from this California designer. You can find more of her fall collection on the Trina Turk site.

See you Saturday!

Join Me and Ms B at Trina Turk this Saturday!

March 6, 2017 By kimwheeler 11 Comments

If you read this blog you know I’m a huge fan of California designer Trina Turk and her beautiful clothing. I’ve feel so lucky to have collaborated with my friends at the Trina Turk Burlingame store on some fun events and I’m happy to share we have another coming up this Saturday, March 11. Trina makes beautiful clothes and accessories and our event is a perfect time to get a special item for upcoming getaways, holidays or to just add something unique to your wardrobe to cherish. After doing these shopping days a few years now, I have to say my Trina pieces are my go-tos that I love wearing. The idea of collecting special items over time makes so much sense and I like being able to shop my own closet when an social occasion happens, and also be able to throw the cutest vacation items in my bag and go!

This shopping day is going to be even more fun as I am doing this in conjunction with my dear friend April, of Ms Bin the Bay Area. April, who lives up the peninsula from me, also blogs about travel, fashion, lifestyle and things Northern California related. I think we are very similar!  Both of us will be there to help you shop and pull together pretty looks for anyone who stops in.

April above, and I have scoped out all the greatest pieces and accessories from this new collection when we previewed it last week in Burlingame. We had an absolute blast trying things on and got a feel for who would look great in each item. I have to tell you it was really hard for us to decide what we each wanted to wear for the event.

During our Saturday event all the new collection and regular priced merchandise will be 25% off! There will be refreshments as well, so pop in by and see what is happening.

Trina took inspiration for this collection from a recent trip to Cuba.

Below some snaps of our most wanted from the Burlingame boutique and even more items are arriving before Saturday’s event which will be 10-1. You can make a day of it if you bring and friend and have lunch afterwards on one of my favorite shopping streets in all of California, Burlingame Avenue, where the Trina boutique is located.

We can’t wait to see you all this Saturday!

Kim & April!

P.S. LOVE this little clip of Havana made by Trina Turk. It shows the darling ice cream parlour, Coppelia, which is vintage 1960’s that inspired the colors and looks of this collection.

Join Me at Trina Turk This Wednesday!

September 12, 2016 By kimwheeler No Comments

I’m thrilled to partner with Trina Turk again this Wednesday at their lovely Burlingame boutique.  If you have never had a chance to see her clothes in person, it’s the perfect time to stop in, view the new collection and get 25% off the fall looks. Trina Turk is the place I consistently find unique or cool pieces to add to my wardrobe! It’s also a great go-to if you have an upcoming special party or event.

I like to support Trina Turk as her company is headquartered in California with design and production here too.  The clothes are not only pretty, but have quality workmanship and lovely details that I look for when I shop.
I’ll be there 10:30-1:30 wearing my favorite pieces from the fall collection in my own way. I’d love to meet you there and help you find some of the best looks for fall.
Here’s some of the beauties that caught my eye when I stopped by last week…
The accessories line is really hot right now with some gorgeous bags and collectable necklaces and rings. I’m kinda crazy about this bag and the colors and these cocktail rings!

Trina’s super comfy silky dresses are in this dark lovely floral for fall.
 Again more wonderful details.
More great bags!

A Trina twist on plaid!

There are always fabulous pantsuits each season.

Wrap dresses.
 Elegant blouses.

The clutches are the perfect shape and size!

Wearing two of the separates Trina style with contrasting patterns! This skirt is woven and also comes as a sweater dress version that is darling.

Trina’s athletic line is so nice. Love the bags, jackets and slides here.

If a holiday is on your radar, you can always find a chic swimsuit and coverup year-round here.

How cute are these pom-pom sandals?

I highly recommend a day out on Burlingame Avenue. It’s one of the best shopping streets in California with some darling independent boutiques as well as chains I like and a great number of fun sidewalk cafe lunch spots. The uber-popular Lemonade from Southern California also just opened on the avenue.  Bring a friend and stop by and say hi if you can this Wednesday!

Get Ready For Spring at Trina Turk in Burlingame With Me!

March 4, 2016 By kimwheeler 23 Comments

Happy weekend! Thanks to a few weeks of beautiful weather here in Northern California I’ve been in a spring mindset. I’m looking forward to wearing sandals and dresses and lighter and prettier things soon. Fortunately, I am doing another spring event this year with the lovely Trina Turk boutique in Burlingame next Saturday, March 12, from 10-1.
We collaborated last year and many of you were able to stop in and see how beautiful Trina’s collection is in person. The quality of the clothes, many which are made in California, is wonderful. I also love the fun bags, shoes, and jewelry that pop with her collections. If you are thinking of Easter or a special event, this is your go-to spot for a frock. And if a holiday or beach getaway is coming you can check out her latest swim, coverups, totes and hats. Best of all, the Trina boutique in Burlingame will be giving 20% off any of the regular priced merchandise just for Northern California Style friends who come to this event. If your unable to make it, and there’s something you’ve been wanting you can call ahead of the event (number below), and have them ring it for you and ship it or I can get it for you and deliver myself if your in the South Bay. I’d hate for anyone to miss out on getting the 20% which they don’t do often and especially with the new Spring collection, which just hit stores.
I drove up to Burlingame last week to check out the new looks and took a few snaps to give you a peek. See for yourself how gorgeous her things are.

This super cute print is a collaboration of Trina with Portland artist Lisa Congdon. I’m crazy for the ball trim on the bottom of this Julieann dress.

The beach totes are so cool as are the towels.

Solids and jumpsuits are some of the classics Trina always carries as well.

More beautiful accessories!

Coverups, flip flops, and espadrilles!

Swimwear! Love the quality of the fabrics used.

I tried a few of the latest Spring collection….

This yellow tasseled dress comes with a slip and could be a fun dress for alfresco dinners or without the slip as a coverup. It may be a perfect travel piece for an island holiday?

Adored the bright color of this crepe Felisha dress with it’s pockets and modern shape.

Another cool retro print in a silky fabric which won’t wrinkle and again great for travel or poolside.

As a California girl I have to admit to having a love for fringy crochet pieces that harken back to the my 1970’s childhood. This dress had me thinking of summer nights out and dangly earrings..Cue the Eagles music.

One of my favorites might be this gorgeously made navy lace Alvah jacket. With a nude shell it’s kinda sexy, but with a solid it can be daytime proper. The girls at Trina ,who have amazing taste, had me try it with these plaid pants which feel really nice on and give it he Trina look.

It’s also cool with colorful shorts.. I can see it with jeans. I may be wearing it a totally different way if you come by the event!

Please try and come by! I’d love to meet some of you. I’ll be there helping style customers and friends with the latest looks and just having fun. The folks working here are the best and you’ll love meeting them. We will have refreshments and coffee and there will be time for you to shop and grab lunch after in cute Burlingame. We will be there from 10-1, but like I said if you are unable to make it, please call  (650) 340-8540 at the Trina boutique before the event so you can get 20% off. Mention  you’re calling about the Northern California Style event and they can ship it to you or I can bring it to you if you are nearby.
Looking forward to seeing some of you and hoping you’ll pop in!

Trina Turk’s Desert Home Style

July 13, 2015 By kimwheeler 10 Comments

Everyone knows I am a big fan of native San Jose girl and California designer Trina Turk, so I was excited to see her Palm Spring’s home featured last week on One King’s Lane.

You can see more of the home which was designed to have the feel of a sailing ship on the site. She helped curate the sale of similar home decor items as well.

Trina and her husband collect these unique macrame animal heads and have 3 in their home.

I like these opposing couches or sectionals if you will with her Trina pillows.

The wood accents against the white are a nice combo for a desert home.

The home has an open and uncluttered feel, but has many quirky and cool pieces like this banquette.

Trina also collects vintage sunglasses and costume jewelry. Not surprising as much of her accessories collection has a 1970s feel.
The One King’s Lane piece shares Trina’s Palm Spring’s favorite spots to eat, shop and more.
Her home decor collection is showcased a bit as well. I just added an Arcata pillow to my home. They also have a boxier version in yellow, on Trina’s own site which is pretty.
Trina’s new Tales Of the South Pacific collection just came out inspired by Gauguin…
So far this Emi 2 shirt dress is my favorite and you could wear it into fall which I like too.
I kind of love this tennis skirt and jacket. I think this print is part of her 20th Anniversary collection.
It’s fun to follow her adventures on Instagram too. She has a life made for all these vibrant clothes!

The past weeks she’s been in Capri, Sicily and many cool spots with her husband Mr Turk.
Aren’t they cute?
(Trina’s summer reading.)
You can follow her here to live vicariously!

Why I ♥ Trina Turk

March 16, 2015 By kimwheeler 19 Comments

There are a lot of choices in this world, especially when it comes to clothes. That’s why I appreciate designers like California’s Trina Turk. As I try to buy less in this world, I want to buy unique and special as well as good quality. That is the hallmark of a Trina Turk garment- beautiful details you won’t find in mass produced clothes, unique colors and fabrics, and above all- superior workmanship. That is why I loved our event on Thursday. It made me proud to partner with such a wonderful company. It didn’t hurt that the clothing was beyond gorgeous!

Thursday I spent the day helping customers find and mix many looks with the Spring II Collection at the Burlingame Trina Turk store. We had the best time and many just stopped in to check it out and try a few things on. After four hours in the store I decided that I loved the clothes and much more. Trina Turk comes out with 11 new collections a year, so the Burlingame location is always fresh with new items and their customers love. The clothes tend to move pretty fast here.
Above I am wearing the Patsy dress I chose and it’s also in the center window display.
Something about the very cool fabric and the darling ball trim on the bottom made it so whimsical. I just love it!
Planning what I was going to wear with my dress..You can see the neat fabric design.

It flatters, and my friend and blogger Jennifer of A Well Styled Life looked great in it too…

I love that most of the dresses are lined which makes them feel and look great.

Elizabeth of The Vintage Contessa came by and also tried on some new things from the collection. Elizabeth looks amazing in vibrant colors.
She knows her unique look and bought these Viva la Vida pants and also got this great Anissa  dress below, which she plans on wearing as a top piece. Love Elizabeth’s style! She adds her own special twist to everything with great accessories and pieces like these.
Jennifer looks terrific in the classics like the chicest black pantsuit which everyone should have for a dressy evening.
Just add champagne!  SO cute.
Yet she does color well and this Maize maxi dress was very pretty on her too.
With all the activity happening during the event, we had the pleasure of meeting Trina’s sweet sister when she stopped by. She’s local and we grew up in the same neighborhood and attended the same junior high … Small world!
Here she is with two of the terrific ladies, Betsey and Dana, who work at the Burlingame store. The staff at this store have a loyal following. They know the clothes and what looks great together as well as what flatters certain bodies. It’s amazing how spot on their suggestions were for some customers.
This cute customer paired this great fringe jacket with a silky strapless top and pencil skirt. Loved this look for it’s day to evening functionality! Wonderful too for a wedding and the reception after! Again a cute mod necklace really completed this.
Maybe it’s spring fever, but I am ready for more color and some brights in my wardrobe. I found these cute shorts and top that I didn’t notice before. (Confession- I found a ton of things in my four hours as expected.)  I adore the fringe and the wonderful fabric. Those little details are what sets her clothes apart. The back has a deep V, but you can still wear a bra.
These kind of shorts are what one used to call ‘hot pants’ in the 70s when I was a girl and my mom shopped at the very chic Joseph Magnin for such things. Trina Turk reminds me a lot of that store and it’s hip vibe, which is still embedded in my brain!
This outfit is perfect with a long gold necklace and some pretty jeweled sandals for a night out.
On the subject of sandals, Trina’s shoes were the other thing we discovered Thursday. They are fabulous, comfortable and looked good with so much. These suede wrap sandals, which Jennifer modeled and bought, felt terrific on and were perfect with all the dresses and clothes. Jennifer ended up purchasing the soft metallic gold tone they come in. I love this blue too. Aren’t they modern? They have a kitten heel.
I’m also thinking these Catalina flats with rubber sole for running about this summer…Just add pretty bright toe color!
The Bellota sandal though, would dress up jeans and a blouse in a Palm Springs way!
So many floaty and feminine little tops too.
I spent time with the home goods. I’m always torn between home and clothing purchases! The pillows are gorgeous and I am planning to add some to my white couch and brighten up the house for Spring.
Just a few… There are rugs as well.
How awesome are these ice buckets? I see a poolside bar in my future.
Lovely, lovely things!
I do hope we get to do another event again because I think so many of you Northern Cal gals are just learning about the Burlingame location. The entire Trina Turk clothing collection is there and if you want clothes that are uniquely Californian you need to see it.
Thanks everyone at Trina Turk for the wonderful afternoon and my beautiful dress.
Hope you get to experience a little Trina soon. It will brighten your day for sure.

Join Me for a Style Event at Trina Turk!

March 6, 2015 By kimwheeler No Comments

Today I got the opportunity to see the gorgeous Spring II collection from Trina Turk at the beautiful Northern California flagship store in Burlingame. Next Thursday I’m hosting a special style event there from 1-4. You can see the new collection and get 20% off any full priced items in store, including swim!  It’s a perfect time to get a frock for that special event coming up or just see what Trina’s clothes are all about and try on a few looks.

The Peggy dress has the loveliest fabric and embellishments!

I have written previously about Trina, who is from San Jose and a native California girl. I love that her clothes embody the California lifestyle and really are made in California. The quality of the clothes and fabrics is fantastic. They have a uniqueness to them that gives them an enduring appeal. I could imagine collecting these pretty pieces to wear over a lifetime. It’s rare to see garments made so well in today’s world.

Here’s a little peek at what is in the store right now. Burlingame is the only Northern Cal location, but it’s a good one. It’s right in the middle of Burlingame Avenue, which has been recently renovated and is a charming downtown with many bakeries, restaurants, and terrific shopping.

I’m crazy for all the details at this store even the fabric on the dressing room walls….

So many stunning dresses! Yet there’s much more than dresses…

There are versatile tops like this Coddington sweater. Love the necklace!

There are cool bags and shoes and many kinds of shorts, pants, skirts and jumpsuits!

This Sunset maxi dress reminded me of the late 70s.
This print is so fun and it comes in a sweater version as well.
I loved this jacket too and shorts that went with it. I’m a sucker for anything with fringe.
This is only a small bit of this store that filled with beautiful things!
I choose a dress from the Spring II collection which just arrived in store.
(Okay bear with my selfies, but I wanted to show a few of these.)

Adored the Museum dress which also comes in white and has the cutest ball tassels on the hem.

Then there was the Clair, a quintessential California cotton lace dress. So comfy and flattering with a bell sleeve. Could you just see Linda Ronstadt in this circa 1974 or something? LOVE!

I was drawn to this pretty jacquard fabric on the Patsy dress which had the cute trim!
This floaty Nancey top and khakis with jewel trim was more casual still pretty.
Other reasons to love Trina…her fabulous jewelry…
Just the thing to compliment her modern designs.
There is also a new activewear line with terrific jackets, leggings and even tennis skirts!!

Don’t forget the famous swim section… All you need is here to make your vacation dreams a reality including the cute ice buckets.

Rompers and coverups!

I really want one of these fab wrap one pieces.
There is home decor too…

There are vibrant pillows and rugs and if you cannot live in Palm Springs your home can still have that happy California vibe!

Please come see me next week and even make a day of it and have lunch on the avenue or come later and do dinner.  We will have a fun afternoon with light refreshments and I look forward to showing all the new pretty looks and how you can style them. I will be wearing my new dress. Can you guess what I chose? It wasn’t easy. I will share it next week at the event!

I looking forward to meeting some of you and seeing you there!

Nor Cal Girl Trina Turk’s Fall Collection!

September 3, 2014 By kimwheeler 19 Comments

Trina Turk is a native Californian known widely for her resort clothes with retro inspired vibe and colors. I’ve always loved her bold prints and beach wear that recalled cool items my mom wore in the early 1970s. So it was interesting to discover Trina Turk  grew up in a tract house in San Jose in the 1960s and 70s just as I did! There were loads of mid-century homes amid orchards then. We embraced the avocado greens, the burnt oranges, cornflower yellows and all that…Not to mention macrame owls! I really get where her inspiration comes from having lived that era out in Northern California.  I am drawn to her vibrant designs and 60s inspired bold prints.

After seeing some fun things Trina Turk had at the Bank of the West tennis tournament pop-up, I  thought I’d like to see more of their new handbags, fall line and the home decor too. I honestly didn’t know she had clothes beyond resort wear!

Some of the goodies at the pop-up store. The candles smell heavenly and we were digging the ice buckets!

The Trina Turk brand has been growing with the introduction of handbags and workout clothing as well as the Mr Turk line for men. Recently a few friends and I made the trip up to check out the new fall collection at the Trina boutique in the cute town of Burlingame.

Well we loved the store with it’s ocean wave inspired ceiling and wood paneling. I highly recommend a trip up to darling Burlingame if you haven’t been. Many little bistros and bakeries to grab lunch and wonderful shops.

The new handbag collection has great little details and are well priced too.

Right away, my friend Jeanne and I loved this Joelle dress and this collection in navy with geometrics and cutouts.

Beautifully made pieces! They really were perfect for transitioning into fall. This dress is called Savannah Lace.

This lovely dress was worn by Dana one of the sales women there. It’s even cuter on.

I loved this boutique because of the wonderfully curated collection. Pieces from one group mix seamlessly with other groupings and its easy to get several unique looks with just a few different items.

Being the flower junkie I am, I of course fell hard for this Mara top look with grey and violets.

The fabric is a combination of suiting material running down the side of the trousers and the floral.

There are coordinating pants or a full skirt as well as a dress in this print.

I am still considering this. Even just the pants would be fabulous to mix up with my wardrobe.
I actually came in to try this graphic look that caught my eye at the pop-up shop.
I loved the print, but think I would break it up instead of wearing both matching pieces.
All the fitted skirts I tried are so well crafted they really do flatter. One of the pull on fitted versions like this Ashby skirt above, could be really great for fall with a boxy sweater don’t you think?
Then Jeanne and I found this dress that felt like butter and looked great on everyone…
This Harley dress is something I’d just like to have in my wardrobe. It’s chic and you can dress it up or down. The combo of the fitted bottom and drapey top flatters and feels amazing on. How often can you say that about a dress? Adding mules or a bootie looks modern and I tried these cut-out mules which would look good with so much.
Oh gosh the shoes and bags !!!  The Sunset Soiree clutch with the wooden clasp above was seriously a collector piece. We also fell for the cut out Laguna mules in tan suede as well as the black I tried.

Color-blocked zip around wallets would be fun to use as a clutch purse.
They have some very lovely jewelry at the boutique as well.
Decisions!!
I even wanted to take the salmon grasscloth wallpaper, pillows and rug home from the fitting room!

Then there was the home collection. The pillows and straw totes were so pretty.

In the end I chose something I never thought I’d buy with all the fabulous colors here …a black sundress!

The cutouts on the hem and collar were darling and this Morena dress was so flattering….I knew I’d wear it for a long time and I needed a black summer dress.

Some of the collar details closer.
I wore my new dress to a wedding at a California vineyard about two weeks ago. It was a very hot day and it never wrinkled. It’s fully lined and skims over the body. I think this would be an ideal packing piece for a warm holiday trip as well. It’s also made in California as are most of the Trina Turk clothes! Love that. The quality of her clothing line is excellent.

To see more of her California homes and decorating style check out Elle Decor’s Instagram Home Tour of Trina’s Palm Springs home…

There’s lots of fun California inspiration if you follow her Instagram account. Let me just say the Mr Turk Instagram account is um well, pretty fab too…You have to see for yourself. 😀

You can also see her gorgeous mid-century Los Angeles home below, in this Elle Decor post.

Trina and her husband Jonathan Skow have been longtime collectors of vintage and she displays many of her treasures in her homes.

I also am crazy for her fabric collection for Schumacher…

How fabulous to have a chair in one of these or more or even accent pillows? Love!

Some of the best looks from her fall collection..

If you can’t get to Trina Turk near you you can visit the Trina Turk site to find the fall collection, new handbags and more!

Wonderful getting to know more about this Northern California girl! I’m hoping to add more of her lovely California made gems to my closet soon.

Well after all this weather, and so much indoor ti Well after all this weather, and so much indoor time, I’m officially sick of everything and I am ready to give the home a little refresh. Homegoods and TJMaxx have some great spring items and a promotion with items from France, Italy, etc. They can be a good source for outdoor pots, new pillows, rugs and decorative bits. It’s good time to find a ‘few’ emphasis on few, new things for the home. They carry unique items, many one offs, but you have to be a discerning shopper.. What to look for and what to avoid on this little clip.

I’ll be taking more about how to shop smart at these sort of places on the upcoming blog as well. What’s been your experience at these stores? I have had good luck and bad and I think you have to be smart about what you choose and don’t fill a home with these things.

A little spring in the kitchen while another storm A little spring in the kitchen while another storm rages. Met a friend downtown and we had to dash as the storm hit and power was out minutes later. Stay safe everyone!
I thought I’d reshare our pool bath/powder room I thought I’d reshare our pool bath/powder room today as my builder @mikemccloudconstruction shared it too. I still love the way it came out! I had saved many inspiration pictures of how I wanted this to look. I was lucky Mike helped me make this happen. A good builder who listens and has ideas as well, helps so much. I’m sharing some of the extra details up close.

I loved this blue sort of organic watery tile for a pool bath. I also knew I wanted an open shelf for all the pool towels so people could grab them on the way out the door. The @serenaandlily mirror definitely has that nautical almost porthole, sort of look and picked up the unfinished oak color. I used an RH pendant light and the sink is Victoria and Albert. The counter is from a slab of @vadaraquartz that I spilt and used in the laundry as well as the boy’s bath. I choose an inexpensive cement tile for this space and the connecting laundry/mud room which works with drippy pool feet! It’s been almost four years and all still looking great!

DM me if anyone wants details I left out! I thought I did a post on this, but maybe not! I need to do that with all the baths.

Hope you all have a good week and get some nature in the first day of spring!

How beautiful is this? We are the embodiment of lo How beautiful is this? We are the embodiment of love in our actions. This is a wonderful account and @yung_pueblo ‘s book ‘Lighter’ is top of the NYTimes list too.

Happy Monday. 💛
Are you watching the @bnpparibasopen ? I just got Are you watching the @bnpparibasopen ? I just got back from three whirlwind days with pals and we had a ball. It was so good to be in the sun and and warmth -with snow capped California mountains as a backdrop. We went in the beginning part of the tournament which we always do, and got to see Andy Murray, Sabalenka, Zverev, Raducanu, and so many fantastic other players. We basically eat, slept and breathe tennis for two days straight and we loved it! You can still catch play on the @tennischannel 🎾

I will share another Reel of all the stylish people.. Something about tennis brings out the sharpest dressers and there was excellent people watching.

If you love tennis, this is a bucket list tournament. They call the fifth slam and it’s getting crazy popular so plan a year ahead of you want to go. We reserved our hotel that was walking distance a year ago. More tips on my BNP post that I update each year.

I separated the sectional and sort of like it apar I separated the sectional and sort of like it apart. This RH couch is a LOT of maintenance and can look pretty deflated after a weekend of hanging out. In hindsight, I’d buy a couch that does not require so much fluffing and cushion alternating. I snapped this pic because it was one of the times I had the pillows looking nice on it. You also need a lot of pillows to not get swallowed up by it. I call it the great white.

The local RH actually has a cleaning team that steams and fluffs their couch and I’ve seen them before the shop opens. I found it hard to get reviews on this couch before buying because RH does not have them online and if you notice they don’t do social media… so I’m just putting it out there. I will share what I love here, but I think it helps to be transparent about what is a disappointment too.

Have you ever made a rustic style scone? These are Have you ever made a rustic style scone? These are the only kind I’ve ever made and it all started when I had one in Paris at the @rosebakeryparis years ago. My sweet mom later bought me their cookbook. I was thrilled and have made scones with their fantastic recipe ever since.

I was missing my mom and thinking about her as today is her birthday, (actually tomorrow she was a Leap Year baby) and made these yesterday. She also loved lemon so I tried a variation adding Meyer Lemon zest and juice and lots of almonds and it was SO good! These are a great treat for a rainy afternoon with tea. ☕️ Recipe is on my story.. and I’ll add it to my cookery highlight. The Breakfast Lunch Tea book from Rose Bakery is a treasure if you can still get it with many delicious recipes using whole grains and healthy ingredients.

It’s raining cats here! Def scone weather!
