It’s time for our Weekend Meanderings with Elizabeth and Juliet. I hope your week has been good. This weekend I am away at the Haven Conference , so I thought this would be a good time to share all my best travel themed posts..
First I want to share a beautiful book Resort Fashion, that was a gift from my friend Erin who loves travel too. It’s vintage from 2007, but a wonderful book filled with gorgeous photography from Toni Frissel, Louise Dahl-Wolfe and others. There are sections on stripes, all white and color, and other themes and it’s probably one of the loveliest photography books I’ve ever had… You can still find it on this link and here.

This is my most popular post ever, What to pack for Carmel and Monterey. I try and update it every few months.

This was the last Signature Style on Travel, and what to pack and how to do it.

This edition of weekend Meanderings had what I pack for Hawaii..

Mary Ann so fun with you and I am so glad you said go for it. Hoping Juliet can next time and Annie too. xo
So happy you liked the book! Xoxo Erin next year, France ❤️
Erin it’s the most beautifully done book.. a treasure!! xoxo
Oh, Kim … I’ve got the travel bug now! That book! What a precious gift. I may have to get a copy. And you’ve got me thinking maybe I should book a quick trip to Carmel? It’s a dog friendly town and I love to travel with our pups. I’ve read your packing guide so many times and it’s never enough. Your travel posts are my favorite. And, surprise, London is my most favorite City too! Glad you and MA had a great time at Haven … next time you’ll pack more sweaters 😉 Safe travels home, my friend. xo
Juliet, I am so lucky to have this cool book from my friend! You need to go to Carmel..A weekend away would be so good. I always prescribe Bernard’s Lodge, my favorite place. London is my dream city and I can’t wait to go again… Yes defrosting from Haven.. Literally.. xo
Loved all the packing posts. Even though I’m just sitting on my sofa these days, my imagination can be tickled!
Sheila-Merle, I know so many of us are.. Hoping we can all get out there in the world safely soon. I too have been enjoying all these accounts from Italy and France! Sending hugs.
Kim, I love this travel round up! Traveling with kids and grandkids is always a great idea, it expands their mind, teaches them about different cultures and is just fun. We traveled around Argentina a few years ago with our grandkids and had a wonderful adventure.
Monterey is such a beautiful place, I haven’t been in a few years, I have to add it to my list.
London is one of my favorite cities, Paris too, but I think Scotland is my all time favorite country to visit.
I hope that you are having an amazing time with Mary Ann! Haven is on my calendar for next year and hopefully Juliet will be there too!
Safe travels home,
xo Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth, I agree traveling with kids is so good for them. It taught my kids to be curious about other cultures and people and learn to deal with sitting in restaurant, being flexible and eating food out of their comfort zone!! Wow Argentina must have been a cool adventure. You should plan a trip to Monterey and Carmel.. and we could all meet! There to so much to see here. Scotland is still on my list!
You have to meet us next year at one of the conferences. That would be so fun! We missed you. xo
Hi Kim,
I so enjoyed viewing your adventures. Your little boys are so cute, no surprise look at the parents.
Aww you are sweet, Thanks Kathrine! Miss those years..
I just returned from 10 days on Oahu and really enjoyed your repost of how to bring Hawaii into your home. I always have trouble letting go of the “aloha spirit” when I return home and will be adding a few more island touches this week to keep it going. Have a great time at Haven!
Aww Wendy wow how wonderful to have ten days there. That is great! I always feel the same after a trip to the islands. Hope you can enjoy the Aloha feel in your home a little longer!
I live London too and am thinking of maybe going over there for a quick visit. Hope you enjoyed the Haven conference.
Thanks Lorna I learned a ton and got energized about the blog again.. which is good after doing this for ten years! I know London is the best place on the planet to me! xx
Kim! I love your travel look! Gorgeous! I had no idea London was your favorite travel destination! I sure had a case of FOMO while you and Mary Ann were in Atlanta! Can’t wait to hear about it!xx
London is always my favorite! I think it is the most beautiful city with ski much culture and history. We missed you on the trip Annie!xo
