Welcome to the 2022 Holiday Home tour! I’m very excited to be part of Jenny Williamson’s Holiday Tour Week. Each day you’ll see festive rooms from different blogs to give you some ideas and inspiration. I’m sharing my pink Christmas tree that I put up in my den just for me!
If you came here from Postcards From the Ridge, welcome! I’m Kim and live in Northern California.

I am neutral lover and my home is full of natural elements, lighter colors, and wood tones. I generally go the same way with our main tree and keep it natural and light.
Still, I have always thought pink Christmas trees were fun. One year, when I was small, my grandmother had one -and it was thrilling to me. Last year, when I took over the small space off the kitchen for my own personal den/office, I had a lightbulb moment thinking why not to get a small pink tree? I absolutely am so glad I did it. It was fun pulling it together and it gives me a little joy and I think of my grandma. She would have loved it.

As I am the only women in this family with three men, the main tree could never be all pink. I keep our family tree more traditional and natural, and will share that next week.
I found my pink tree at Homegoods last year. I found these pink mercury glass bulbs on a garland that are the perfect size when cut off the ribbon. The pink tweed ribbon I found last year on our annual Christmas trek to San Francisco at Neiman Marcus at surprisingly $27 for a huge spool. I also use a pink faux fur throw for the skirt, which sort of continues the glam fun feel of this tree.
The tree takes on a warmer pink, almost copper hue when lit that I love. I added this small oriental carpet pillow to my office chair that I had in the same tones.. I love this pink/sherbert orange mix.

I had some Eiffel Tower ornaments that I added here and this star garland.
I also snuck in a little pink house from my dad’s vintage snow scene he had as a kid…

Since last year, I’ve noticed pink trees are becoming even more popular. There is a cute version here in two sizes, and here in many colors and options.
Other pretty pink Christmas items.. This wreath at Target.

I could not find the original ribbon, but this light burlap pink at Joann’s is a soft color look for a tree ribbon and Neiman’s has a beautiful hot pink taffeta ribbon – 25 yards for $39, which isn’t bad for a luxe ribbon.
These bulbs are pretty with a crackle finish and this is a pretty collection. Both good deals.

I love this copper and pink wrap and this ribbon for presents from Anthropologie.

And if you’re a pink lover , and can’t have a tree…why not have a rose colored stocking?

This patchwork one is adorable as is this one, and this Anthro woven knit version, and this Grand Caravan stocking I love too.
And if you just want a pop of pink and some sass, this pillow from Furbish is a hoot. I might need this in my den or by the front door. This quip is from Home Alone, if you don’t remember..Ha. I think we need a rewatch of that this year..
What do you think about pink Christmas decor?
Please be sure and pop by the next room on the tour, Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick, who I think you will love!

Kim. It’s perfect that you have your own tree in your home. I need one for the Ladies’ Loft…thanks for the inspiration!
Mary Ann I think you need one in the loft! After 25+ years of making the trees how everyone else likes, it’s nice to have one with things I love. xx
The pink tree is amazing. I love how it brings such a fun element to your home.
Thanks so much Marty! I love the festive feeling too.
Okay this is SO fun. I especially love it because you are the only lady in the house and you have this little space all to yourself! Adorable, feminine and festive!!! Enjoy your pretty tree and your Christmas season Kim! Thanks for sharing this snippet of your lovely home!
Thanks so much Lisa! I know it was good to have a pretty space just for me. I’m loving it. Can’t wait to see your space too Lisa! xo
Oh my, I’ve found my true love in Christmas trees. Pink is my favorite color so the tree could be naked and I’d still love it. But your ribbon and ornaments are gorgeous too. I’m so glad I got to see it. Our youngest daughter moved back in from college temporarily before her wedding in April 2023 and since it would be almost a year that she’s here, she took over my office. Well, you’ve inspired me to get a pink tree when I get my office back next year! I am going to LOVE IT. My grandma would probably think I’d gone crazy. She liked new stuff; not anything that reminded her of her childhood. Maybe it was growing up with little and during the depression? Anyway, Merry Christmas!
Hi Cindy! I agree they don’t even need many ornaments to look pretty right? Aw well hopefully you’ll get your space back and have a pink tree too. My grandma also grew up in the depression.. She never threw anything away..but did have a passion for pink! Merry Christmas!
Kim, I love your pink tree! My Mom did a pink tree when I was little and she made all the ornaments. I don’t think my Dad and brothers liked it, but at Christmas their opinions didn’t matter to Mom! Hahaha. Enjoy the season!
Thanks so much Jane. How wonderful your mom made all the ornaments for your pink tree. What a cool mom. That’s so true, mom’s should get creative license as we are often the ones putting it together! Happy holidays to you.
Oh, Kim, it is DIVINE! I love pink, and as a boy mom, it was largely missing for so many years. The way you have interpreted pink is so classic and unique. Gorgeous. And the gift wrap with copper and that needlepoint pillow. So chic! Thanks for opening up your home to us. So stoked to be part of this tour with talented creatives like your lovely self. Peace to you right where you are.
Hi Michele! I know as boy moms we rarely get much pink in our lives.. though I did buy pink things for my guys over the years. Aw thanks so much. I also feel lucky to be part of this with you all! xo
Kim! I adore your pink tree … it’s so nostalgic. I’ve been noticing pink trees everywhere … so they’re back and you’re leading the way. One of my little grand-nieces proudly purchased a little one for her room. I’m going to send her this post for inspiration. How great that you can have this tree in your den, a safe haven from the men in the family who won’t fully appreciate it. Your ornaments are beautiful and I noticed a crown which is, of course, perfectly fitting for your office tree. This is so much fun … all the wonderful ways to accessorize it … that pillow! And the Anthro wrap … wow. I need to get over there. Think Pink … it’s a great idea! xo
Thank you Juliet. I know pink and flocked trees and tinsel ones seems to be having a resurgence! How cute your grand-niece bought a little one. I would have been over the moon as a kid to have one in my room! It’s nice to have my own sanctuary away from the guys! xo
I think all women need a pink tree somewhere in their homes. Love it!
Tammy I totally agree! Thanks so much.
Kim, your pink tree is so feminine and pretty! I love the soft hues and the way you decorated it. I’m sure your grandma would love it! Happy Holidays!! ~ Angie
Thanks so much Angie!
Kim I’m dying, it’s all a pink dream! Pink is my favorite color (and I was born on National Pink Day, ha!) so you stole my heart with this. You’re right, it has a copper hue when lit up and I love copper so much. What a fun find that tree is! It all looks perfect. Merry Christmas to you! xo
Summer I didn’t even know there was a national pink day! I love the copper color too..Thanks so much. Fun doing this with you ladies.
Merry Christmas !
Hi Kim,
I love 💕 love💕 love💕 your pink gorgeous tree. It brought me back to a vintage vibe. All the ornaments, lights, ribbons, tree skirt, wrapping paper is spectacular. Your grandmother must had been very feminine. Do you happen to have a photo of her pink tree by chance. That question is a long shot.
Living in a home with all guys you need a place that is feminine and that all belongs to you.
In our Scottsdale home that we lived in I also lived in a home with three guys. Now brace yourself for this one. I had our entire inside of our home painted a very light pink mixed in with white. Our painter was concerned about my choice. Everything was accented in white and gray for the most part. When we put our home on the market it sat there I know because of the paint color. As soon as our painter came in to paint the walls a vanilla box. It sold in a few days.
I still love pink, it’s girly girl. My Master Gardener was okay with it.
Katherine, my grandma was a girly girl! I once gave her a card that said, ‘The day you were born, the world had to make a little more room for fancy.’ It fit her to a t. She loved feminine things and had the most beautiful taste. I feel so lucky she was my grandma. She taught me manners, how to wrap, and so much more.
I did not know you had all men in your family too! I love that about the pink walls. It sounds lovely with the gray and white! Your husband sounds like a good guy. Good guys have no issue with pink! My dad didn’t …My parent’s home in Morgan Hill in the 80’s had pink carpet, pink floral cabbage rose couches and pink stripe wallpaper! I’ve been around a lot of pink I guess.
Love your stories. xo
I had one for sale at my shop years ago at The Hen House.I hear from that client every year how much she loves it!That was over a decade ago!
We had a fake silver one for a couple of years when I was very young.I would adore any tree but the shape of yours is FANTASTiC‼️
Xoxo
Of course the Hen House had one! How nice she still loves it. Maybe someday I’ll have a grandchild who will want mine? Silver trees were a thing too and I saw them at Nordstrom this year. I love the shape too…It fit in this small space perfectly. xo
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pick Christmas tree and I absolutely love it!! It’s truly adorable, Kim! I think I need one of those Eiffel Tower ornaments too. Have a wonderful Christmas season!
Thank you Amanda! I really enjoyed your lovely house and want some of that pretty wrap too. Happy Christmas!
Your pink tree is adorable and it looks so great in your space. 💕And from Homegoods too! Still trying to get my tree finished, it takes me forever to complete the task! I have been editing some of my older ornaments because I can’t seem to stop buying new ones every year. Also phasing out a lot of the red ones. My favorites are from Rogers Gardens in Corona Del Mar. We were there last week and I was so proud of myself I only bought one. They have rooms and rooms of Christmas decor. We did buy my 5 year old granddaughter a glitter Christmas tree that lights up which she loves and is now in her bedroom.
That pillow made me crack up. 😂
Hope you are having a good week!
Linda
Thanks so much Linda! J’ve been taking my time with our regular tree too. I don’t think I want all the ornaments on like usual.. Roger’s Gardens is so magical and I always have wanted to go and see their Christmas display! I’m like you, can’t resist adding a few new baubles every year to my collection, and weeding a few out..
How fun for your granddaughter to have a little glitter tree! Isn’t that pillow good.. I think I need it. xo
Kim, your pink tree brought such a sweet smile to my face. It is charming. The skinny size is perfect too, and I love the copper tint to it- not over-the-top pink. I could imagine doing a teal tree someday. I may not do my usual Christmas extravaganza this year so I’ll be taking nourishment from seeing others’ offerings. Thanks for this one.
Hi Sheila-Merle! Thank you..I love the coppers color – and size. A teal tree would be gorgeous. I am seeing more and more colors out there. Nordstrom had some beautiful ones on display this season. Sending you hugs and hoping you enjoy the holiday. I’ll keep my eye out for any pretty trees I see to share with you. Hugs.
Your tree is so cute. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pink one. They make them in all sorts of colours these days but we’ve always had a green tree. My mum did have a little silver one though and I remember decorating it with red baubles. Fun times.
Hi Lorna! I bet your mum’s silver tree with red was pretty! I so love the silver ones I’ve noticed lately..
My tree and decor is Pink this year too…so it truly is Nor Cal Style…LOL. Gotta be something in the air!
Love your decor!
Liz it must be the thing! Ha glad I’m not the only one in Nor Cal! Thanks so much and enjoy your tree too!xo
Hi Kim,
I’m totally on board with this! A pink tree is the perfect antidote to all the testosterone in your house! You did a great job decorating it and its actually subtle, so good job! I think I should have a tabletop version for my studio. Now I’m on the hunt…
Xo Heidi
Heidi thanks so much.. so true! Yews you need a studio tree! xx
Kim, your tree is AMAZING! It is nostalgic, beautiful and perfect! I love the mercury glass ornaments, the Eiffel Tower ornaments, the stars and the pink fluffy skirt.
P.S, loved hearing about how you found it today on Instagram live.
Thanks so much Elizabeth! xo
Hi Kim – I’m a little late to the tour but I am so glad I got to read your post and see your beautiful pink tree. It is decorated to perfection! I love how the pink is subtle and has a copper tone or rose gold – you have exquisite taste. I love that anthro paper too – must see if I can snag that! A couple of years ago I decided to do a small pastel tree for our bedroom. I found the perfect faux tree at Target and decorated it with all pastel pink and baby blue frosted balls and ribbon with white lights. The hubby thought I was crazy but we were hosting that year and I wanted the whole house decorated. I ended up with a gingerbread tree in our office and our regular family ornament tree in the living room. Love seeing your gorgeous home and decor tips! Now I’m off to finish my 3 trees at the new house 🏡
Hi Michele! Aw thanks the pink tree was fun. Isn’t that Anthropologie paper beautiful? They have some great things for wrapping. I love the idea of a pastel tree in the bedroom.I bet you enjoyed it! I saw one like that on a holiday home tour and was in love!
Have a fun weekend doing your three trees! I bet they look great. xo
