Our traditional Black Friday beach walk in Aptos yesterday! We got so lucky with amazing weather and even spotted some whales or dolphins cruising by. This is my favorite part of Thanksgiving weekend. Hope you’re all having a relaxing holiday.

Cozying up the kitchen with these Sherpa pillows. This is the good thing about cleaning out the pillow closet- I found these I had forgotten about from last year. I bought them at Target and replaced them with good inserts. I wish they still had them, but I will try to find something similar and link to it later in my stories. Just this little addition made it feel a bit more holiday like and warm in here! Don’t you love our street trees that look like they are on fire? My Balboa counter stools are on sale now! I will share a link on my story as well as here.

Happy Thursday! We are almost to the weekend. I can’t wait my college son is home Tuesday. 🤍

Just had to share a few photos of November leaves in Northern California from our walks. We do get a change of seasons here in California,but someone said the other day that we wait so long for it, we aren’t ready to end fall and start Christmas. That is so true! 🍁

I am enjoying the views out the front windows too. Our street trees are Chinese Pistache and they are literally on fire in gorgeous pink fluorescent leaves! Hope you all are having a beautiful week and getting to enjoy November!

I would definitely wear the sweater dress and clogs to Thanksgiving ... I also adore the longer dress!

Sorry no holiday decor... I’m still Novembering

Sorry no holiday decor... I’m still Novembering here. Enjoying this season of beautiful leaves and fire colored foliage out my windows. I’m savoring this month and I won’t be rushed or be made to feel like I’m not on it because I am not thinking about Christmas or decorations or gift lists. For those who want that, good for them, but it’s not for me. I’m okay waiting and at this age, enjoying right where I am, which is savoring long walks, making soups, afternoon tea with a book and cozy nights by the fire. Life already seems hurried. I am trying to learn to live at my pace and enjoy slower living. We still have six weeks until Christmas!
As my mom used to tell us, it’s the little things, so find those each day and stop and ponder at the pretty leaves, the puffy clouds and the beauty of now!

In my home it’s very similar, but it’s white couches, woods, bits of black, and lots of texture with a bit of blue.. How often have you considered the connection to your closet and your home? Knowing your own style can really help you make better choices for your house and your wardrobe !

Trader Joe’s, pumpkin bread is the perfect base

Trader Joe’s, pumpkin bread is the perfect base for autumn treats and dessert hacks. We love to add Guittard dark semi-sweet chocolate chips or their Super Cookie Chips. We always add loads of walnuts and sometimes coconut flakes, sliced almonds, pumpkin seeds and marshmallows. It works with anything you love! 🧡 This is one of the few box mixes I actually really like to use. I find it to be lighter and less sweet than making pumpkin bread from scratch.
Get a few boxes while you can find them. Is anyone else loving this mix? I feel like this is one of the best things Trader Joe’s ever did.
